Building Relationships & Expanding Opportunity
Deepened engagement with state and federal officials and advanced a federal appropriations proposal through the office of Senator Bob Casey.

Celebrating Culture & Community
Hosted the Teej Celebration at Ivy Ridge Park with Blooming Lotus Dance Studio and the Nepali Association Club at Penn State.

Community-Led & Humanitarian Services
Served as fiscal partner for a regional cricket tournament and secured affiliate status with the resettlement network ECDC.

Chiya Talks and a 58-post social campaign reached 216k+ views; 209 trained as QPR gatekeepers and MHFA first-aiders; 140 providers trained in Bhutanese culture; 10 members supported through complex needs.

Response
Expert-led discussions normalized mental-health conversations. Trainings were praised for knowledgeable, welcoming facilitators; cultural training for real stories and practical strategy; Pathway to Wellness as a necessary, trusted service.

Impact
Greater understanding of warning signs and confidence to intervene; more openness to discuss mental health with family and peers; providers more culturally responsive; clients who felt heard, supported, and more stable.

I talked about mental health with my friends and had them express their feelings — and I don't think I would have done that if I hadn't gone through the program.
Mental health is something we don't talk about. Having people from my community learn about it feels like a stepping stone into solving bigger issues.
A lot of our clients tried everything, and when nothing worked, they came to us. They really see us as the organization that can help them.

The First BCCPA Mela & Transformational Grants
Our inaugural Mela became one of the region's largest gatherings; we joined a five-year NIH–NIA (R01) study with Lehigh University and secured Dauphin County funding.

From seeds to programs in full bloom
January 2025
Launching Major Community Programs
Began Project Bhalakushari, resettled our first refugee family, and launched Pathway to Hope. Dauphin County Gaming Advisory Board funding set a permanent community center in motion.
March 2025
Standing With the Community
As fears around deportation policy spread, BCCPA emerged as a visible advocate and trusted voice — providing information, reassurance, and protection for the community's dignity.

First QPR Suicide-Prevention Training
Delivered our first Question · Persuade · Refer training — building capacity to recognize warning signs and connect people in crisis to resources.

Community Wellness Day
With partners ARU and Inspired to Explore, hosted a Wellness Day promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being.
