It strengthened the operational foundation of BCCPA and positioned our organization to pursue larger opportunities, expand partnerships, and launch transformative programs — new grants, research initiatives, refugee services, mental-health programs, and advocacy efforts that continue to benefit families across our region.</p> <blockquote>"Every contribution became a catalyst for greater impact — and with your continued support, the next chapter is just beginning."</blockquote> <h2>Program Evaluation · Year One — Pathway to Hope</h2> <p>In its first year, Pathway to Hope — our community mental-health and suicide-prevention initiative — exceeded every recruitment target, deepening awareness across the Central PA Nepali-speaking Bhutanese community.</p> <ul> <li><strong>216k+</strong> social-media views across 58 Facebook & Instagram posts</li> <li><strong>47</strong> community members joined 3 Chiya Talks</li> <li><strong>209</strong> trained through QPR & MHFA — 148 gatekeepers, 61 first-aiders</li> <li><strong>140</strong> service providers from 7 organizations trained on Bhutanese culture</li> <li><strong>10</strong> members with complex needs supported — 70% in long-term care</li> </ul> <h2>Two Years of Momentum</h2> <h3>2024 · The seeds your generosity planted</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Summer 2024 —</strong> Advanced a federal appropriations proposal through the office of Senator Bob Casey.</li> <li><strong>August 2024 —</strong> Hosted the Teej Celebration with Blooming Lotus Dance Studio and the Nepali Association Club at Penn State.</li> <li><strong>September 2024 —</strong> Served as fiscal partner for a regional cricket tournament; secured affiliate status with resettlement network ECDC.</li> <li><strong>October 2024 —</strong> Hosted the inaugural Mela; joined a five-year NIH–NIA (R01) research initiative with Lehigh University; secured Dauphin County funding for mental-health awareness.</li> </ul> <h3>2025 · From seeds to programs in full bloom</h3> <ul> <li><strong>January 2025 —</strong> Launched Project Bhalakushari, resettled our first refugee family, and launched Pathway to Hope.</li> <li><strong>March 2025 —</strong> Emerged as a visible advocate and trusted voice amid deportation-policy fears.</li> <li><strong>April 2025 —</strong> Delivered our first QPR suicide-prevention training.</li> <li><strong>May 2025 —</strong> Hosted a Community Wellness Day with partners ARU and Inspired to Explore.</li> <li><strong>Summer 2025 —</strong> Ran Project Bhalakushari, Pathway to Hope, wellness, advocacy, and cultural programming side by side.</li> </ul> <h2>A Trusted Regional Partner — What Your Dollars Build</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Project Bhalakushari —</strong> a five-year NIH–NIA (R01) study with Lehigh University on well-being & migration among Bhutanese older adults.</li> <li><strong>Pathway to Hope —</strong> mental-health & suicide-prevention work funded by Dauphin County.</li> <li><strong>Refugee Resettlement —</strong> ECDC affiliate with a PRM-funded contract; first family resettled January 2025.</li> <li><strong>Culture, Wellness & Advocacy —</strong> Teej, the inaugural Mela, cricket, Wellness Day, and a trusted advocate's voice.</li> </ul> <h2>The Next Chapter — A Permanent Home</h2> <p>With funding secured through the Dauphin County Gaming Advisory Board, BCCPA is establishing a permanent community center — now underway — with a community library opening late 2026.</p> <blockquote>"The next chapter is just beginning — and your support writes it with us."</blockquote> <p><em>BCCPA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit · EIN 45-2517325 · Established Nov. 30, 2011.</em></p>

<p>Spots are limited for BCCPA’s 90-Minute Suicide Prevention (QPR) Certification this Sunday (3–5 PM).</p><p>Learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and take action when it matters most.</p><p>Seeing the warning signs early and knowing how to respond can be the difference between loss and saving a life.</p>

<p>The 2026 Spelling Bee represents BCCPA’s first major academic competition and the foundation of what we intend to build as an annual educational tradition.</p><p><strong>EVENT OVERVIEW Event</strong>: BCCPA First Annual Spelling Bee in partnership w/ <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://mybccpa.org/glossary/sylvan-learning-of-harrisburg">Sylvan Learning Harrisburg</a></p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Elmwood Academy Auditorium, Cumberland County</p><p><strong>Event Date</strong>: Saturday, March 28, 2026.
