Gobinda Acharya

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gobinda Acharya, who passed away on the morning of July 19, 2026, at the age of 39. Born on February 25, 1987, in Neoli, Bhutan, Gobinda and his family were forced to leave their homeland and sought refuge in Khudunabari Refugee Camp in Nepal in 1993, where they lived until resettlement. In December 2010, he arrived in Jacksonville, Florida, and just four months later, in April 2011, he and his family made Harrisburg, Pennsylvania their home. Through hard work and dedication, he achieved the dream of homeownership in 2021, purchasing his family’s home in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he continued to build a life centered on his family and their future. Gobinda is survived by his beloved wife, Phul Gurung Acharya (Champha); his cherished daughters, Una and Jessica; his father and stepmother; and many relatives, friends, and community members who will forever remember his kindness, resilience, and devotion to his loved ones. Funeral to take place on July 23, 2026 at 11:00 am at Jesse H Geigle Funeral Home located at 2100 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110. The family is receiving relatives and friends at 112 South Mountain Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013 during this difficult time.
